Captain Files Appeal Over Forfeits For Ineligible Player

February 25, 2000

Cris Crites, captain of one of the teams that was penalized recently for using an ineligible player, has filed a formal letter of appeal to the Board of Directors. The player, who is ineligible because he is under 21, has been suspended from the league for three years beyond his age of majority. In addition, all win points for games that the player participated in were forfeited to the team's opponents according to Rule 6d. (See "Board Hands Out Three Year Suspension".)

See the full text of Cris Crites' email letter to League President Scott Martin.

Also see the full text of Scott Martin's email response to Chris' appeal.

The appeal will be considered at the next Board meeting, scheduled for March 6, 2000 at the Playoffs Bar and Grill in O'Fallon beginning at 8:00 PM. League members are welcome to attend.
