League Hands Down 23 Years of Suspensions

he Board of Directors met Saturday, February 22, to address the issue of an under age player in the League. The player turned 21 on February 16, 2003. In addition to this season, he had played in the Fall and Winter 2002 seasons. His teammates, as well as the captain, were aware that the player was under 21 years of age when he started playing.

The outcome of the meeting is as follows:

Player – Suspended for 6 years (18 sessions)
Captain – Suspended for 5 years (15 sessions)
Each of 4 Teammates – Suspended for 3 years (9 sessions)

The suspended players may submit written request for reinstatement before their suspension is complete as per Rules & Regulations, Section 6(g).

The standings of the affected division have changed, the Board of Directors deciding to clear all points regarding the team. For the remainder of the session, teams will now have a "Bye" where the suspended team was originally supposed to play.
