Drive

12/15/2004

By Sue Hackett

No, not driving your car, or your truck, or your lawn mower around the yard. It's that "force" that gets you going. You know what I'm talking about. The adrenaline rush that you feel when you are standing on the oche and you have the game shot in your hand. That desire to strive for the big win.

Recently, I've been watching and talking with some darters about what "drives" them in darts.  Their responses vary from just wanting to have fun, to wanting to be first place in their league division (getting the trophy), to improving their stroke and accuracy, to wanting to beat the "Big Dawgs" ("A" shooters and professional players).  All are great responses.

My challenge to you...what "drives" you in darts?  Harness that drive and take it for a spin on the dartboard.  See what you can achieve when your boundaries are unleashed.
